Our story begins in 1946 with Bob Sharpe opening Sharpe Heating and Air Conditioning Company. The company was located in Five Points for over 20 years and served the Columbia area. 1967 brought in Bob's son Bill as the second generation owner and the name of the company was changed to Standard Heating and Air Conditioning Company, Inc. Bill had worked with his dad for many years and when the time came he took over the reins with ease. In 1986 Bill moved the company to it's present location at 1314 Ellerbe Street in Columbia. With the new millennium came more changes. Bill began the process of handing down the reins. In January 2002, Bill's youngest son Tim became the third generation owner. Tim has worked with his dad for over 17 years and has a State Mechanical License as well as a Master Gas Fitter License.
